UPDATE-

work has progressed, the entire back of the door got 3 full layers of fiberglass to strengthen it. this will keep everything from vibrating.


then the entire door got a skim coat of body filler to smooth out any flaws and help blend it into the original door.


its like frosting a cake, except the frosting dries in 5 minutes, so you have to work fast...which can lead to sloppiness, which means more sanding. case in point-

here is the final sanded door with the flush mounting plate and mid-bass woofer in place.


and with the grill installed. i think once i get it recovered in vynal it will be tought to tell it wasnt factory installed....which was the goal.


next step is to wire the truck and add 200sq ft of sounded deadening material to everything!!!
